Lois Bright Lother
|I was born December 13, 1927 in Brooklyn, New York, and came
to Zion in April 1934, with my family to take care of my Grandpa Bright. I was in
1st grade in 1934-35 at the old 30th street school. I was put in 1st grade again.
The next year I went to the Zion Church School (Parochial) College Building and
attended there until it closed. I then went to Lakeview and graduated 8th grade in
1942. After 4 years at Zion Benton Township High School I graduated in 1946.
On January 21, 1946, I was introduced to Dale Lother by a mutual friend. We were married by Elder Wright at the Zion College Building lovely chapel on "October 21, 1947.
Dale was from Minnesota and a Marine during W.W.II and Korea. We have 2 sons, Brian and Keith and 2 nice Daughters-in-law and 4 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.
Dale passed away April 22, 1997 from Malignant Mesothelioma here at home and is buried at Mr. Olivet.
We have lived in the same house we bought from my parents all our married years except for 6 months at Camp Pendleton, Oceanside, California.
Lois and Dale were married on October 21, 1947. Dale passed away on April 22, 1997 just short of their 50th anniversary.
